Littlehampton
Littlehampton
About The Town And Area

Situated at a longitude of W0:32:33 and latitude of N50:48:06, parts of Littlehampton date back to Roman times, although it is only since the 1670s that the town has had a quay. Once offering a cross channel ferry service, the port has also been the royal dockyard for King Henry VIII.

Although the sea trade today is a shadow of its former times, there is always plenty to see and do in the vicinity. Littlehampton is a good base for trips to nearby towns such as Arundel, Worthing and Bognor Regis, making it the ideal place to visit for the day, month or longer.
